The championship battle is about to reach another level!

This weekend the Northern Sidecar Cup heads to the spectacular Circuit Jules Tacheny in Mettet (Belgium) for Round 6. With the season entering its decisive phase, every point matters and the pressure is higher than ever.

After an incredible first half of the season, the championship fights are still wide open across all three classes. In 1000cc, F600 and F2, the margins are incredibly small, meaning one great weekend—or one mistake—could completely change the title race. Every start, every overtake and every lap will count!

Round 3 of the Northern Sidecar Cup delivered another spectacular weekend of sidecar racing at the legendary Nürburgring in Germany. Set against the backdrop of one of Europe’s most iconic circuits, competitors across the F600, 1000cc and F2 classes battled warm conditions, close racing and the demanding layout of the Nürburgring to put on a fantastic show for all sidecar fans present.

The fast and flowing German circuit challenged teams throughout the weekend, with every class producing intense battles from lights out to checkered flag. Riders and passengers pushed hard for every point as the championship fight continues to tighten heading into the second half of the season.

In the 1000cc class, front runners Team Talens Sidecar Racing, Team GRT388 and Team Virtanen 32 once again demonstrated incredible pace and consistency, while several midfield teams impressed with determined performances and personal best results.

The F600 category produced some of the fastest racing of the weekend, with multiple changes and battles right through the field keeping spectators entertained throughout both races. Team LRT International Sidecar Racing did very well for the championship. Meanwhile, the F2 class showcased outstanding teamwork and commitment, with Team Roscher / Burkard giving everything around the demanding Nürburgring circuit and took the win in both races.

The Northern Sidecar Cup paddock once again proved why the championship continues to grow in popularity, combining competitive racing with the unique camaraderie that makes sidecar racing so special.

🔥 **Northern Sidecar Cup 2026 – Hengelo Delivers!** 🔥

What a weekend at the Varsselring in Hengelo for Round 2 of the Northern Sidecar Cup! High speeds, red flags, sun and rain and a fierce rivalry defined this unforgettable event.

**QUALIFYING:**
It was Tim Reeves / Melanie Farnier who laid down the marker early, securing pole position with blistering pace. Hot on their heels were local heroes Bennie Streuer / Manon Vis, with Hilbert Talens / Felix Pinkert locking out on second row in third. First F2 of Renzo and Valé Van der Donckt were fourth on row 2.

**RACE 1:**
After a red-flag interruption, without any personal damage, and restart, Reeves / Farnier showed their class—taking control and riding to victory.
🏁 1. Reeves / Farnier
🥈 2. Streuer / Vis
🥉 3. Talens / Pinkert
Strong rides also from F600 Championship leader Raymond Leijdekkers, this time with passenger Océane Bataille and the Finnish combination, father and son Petri and Julius Virtanen with their 1000cc BMW.

The battle between team VDD, Flyingdutchmen and Knarfrace is worth looking over and over again at the livestream.

Recap NSC Round 1 Croix-en-Ternois (France)

The 2026 Northern Sidecar Cup season roared into life with an exciting opening round at Croix-en-Ternois on April 18–19. Teams and fans were treated to a fantastic weekend of close racing, changing conditions, and an electric atmosphere that set the tone for the season ahead.

From the first practice sessions, it was clear the competition would be fierce with 26 teams entering this first NSC round. Several crews showed strong pace early on, with lap times already pushing the limits of the tight and technical French circuit. First qualification  delivered plenty of drama, as teams battled not only each other but also tricky track conditions that kept everyone on edge.

Race day did not disappoint. First the 2nd qualification in way better conditions than the day before, so lap times were pulverized. Both races for both groups were packed with action, featuring intense battles throughout the field. Overtakes, strategic riding, and perfect teamwork between drivers and passengers made for a thrilling spectacle. Consistency proved key, as the top crews managed to combine speed with precision to secure valuable early championship points.

The paddock atmosphere was just as impressive, with teams supporting each other and fans enjoying close access to the sidecar community. And of course the new tradition to do a nice get together to get to know each other, have a laugh and a drink and snack (this time with ‘Bitterballen’). Croix-en-Ternois once again proved to be the perfect venue to kick off the season.

As the first points are now on the board, the championship fight is already shaping up to be incredibly competitive. If this opening round is any indication, the 2026 Northern Sidecar Cup promises to deliver excitement at every turn.
