The F600 championship went right down to the final round! Raymond, Océane and Calvin arrived at Oschersleben leading the standings after a season full of close racing and fought all the way to the finale. A fantastic championship campaign from the #56 crew! 💪🔥

A dominant season from Hilbert and Felix! Their consistency, speed and results throughout 2026 meant they had already secured the 1000cc crown before the final round. A thoroughly deserved championship! 👏🏆

Oschersleben is calling! 🏁 | Round 7 Northern Sidecar Cup

Oschersleben is calling! 🇩🇪🏁

Round 7 of the Northern Sidecar Cup is taking place on October 2, 3, and 4 at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben (Germany). It is the seventh and final round of the 2026 season—so time for the teams to tighten those tie-down straps one last time, pack up the (rain) tires, and hope everyone actually remembered to throw *everything* into the van.

And they are clearly excited about it…

We have no less than 29 teams for the practice sessions. A fantastic field—and naturally, we are thrilled about that!

There is, however, a small German *Aber* (catch): a maximum of 26 teams are allowed to start the races. That means some teams will be able to practice but ultimately won’t be able to compete in the races. It’s not ideal, but it is the reality with such a full grid. The final starting list is therefore crucial.

So, the battle in Oschersleben actually begins before the starting lights even go out…

🏆 The champions and the final title showdown

With the finale just around the corner, it is time to take another look at the standings following Round 6.

In the 1000cc class, Hilbert Talens & Felix Pinkert (Talens Sidecar Racing #22) are now mathematically uncatchable and can call themselves the 2026 champions. Congratulations! 🏆

The title is also in the bag for the F2 class. Team 556 Sidecar #156 (Yoann Gillard / Laura Ecorchard) sits at the top with 185 points and cannot be overtaken. Huge congratulations to them on the championship win! 🏆

But then… the F600.

For that class, the calculators can stay in the toolbox for now, because with two races left to go, the suspense is still very much alive. LRT International Sidecar Racing #56 – Raymond Leijdekkers / Calvin Leijdekkers head to Oschersleben as the leaders with 183 points. Close behind are West Side #35 – Mel Delamarre / Cédric Chevalier with 168 points—trailing by just 15 points.

Two teams, two races, and one F600 championship. It’s shaping up to be an exciting showdown. 😎

In short: count the points, keep a cool head, pin the throttle—and above all, ensure both rider and passenger cross the finish line together.

📅 And meanwhile… 2027

While we still have the 2026 season to wrap up, work is already well underway behind the scenes for 2027.

Next year’s calendar is already taking shape. A few final pieces of the puzzle still need to fall into place, but we hope to publish the 2027 Northern Sidecar Cup calendar soon.

First, however, we’re going full throttle one last time in 2026.

A packed practice field, a full starting grid, champions already decided, and an F600 title fight that is still wide open…

Oschersleben has all the ingredients for a fitting season finale.

Oschersleben is shaping up to be a fantastic international meeting, with lots of sidecar teams from across Europecoming together for the final Northern Sidecar Cup round of the year.

Different countries, different machines and different classes – but one shared passion: SIDECAR RACING! 🏍️💨

With a big field expected, there should be plenty of action throughout the weekend.

🏆 One last battle for the championship

After six rounds of racing, it all comes down to Round 7.

🏁 METTET RAISES THE STAKES… NOW ALL EYES TURN TO THE GRAND FINALE! 🔥

What a weekend it has been at the spectacular Circuit Jules Tacheny in Mettet for Round 6 of the Northern Sidecar Cup. Fast racing, close battles, drama and crucial championship points made this another unforgettable event as the 2026 season moves towards its thrilling conclusion.

The weekend belonged to Manuel Moreau & Alice Roba (#49), who completed a perfect double victory in the F600 class. They controlled both races with impressive pace, taking Race 1 by just under two seconds before extending their advantage in Race 2.

In the 1000cc class, Hilbert Talens & Felix Pinkert (#22) were once again the class of the field, finishing third overall in both races and collecting maximum points in their category.

The F2 battle was equally exciting. Renzo & Valé Van der Donckt (#44) claimed the class victory in Race 1, while Yoann Gilard & Laura Ecorchard (#156) struck back in Race 2 after Van der Donckt was unable to start the second race.

With another two races completed, the championship tables have taken shape, but nothing is decided yet. The updated Northern Sidecar Cup, Open Belgian Championship (OBK) and Open Dutch Championship (ONK) rankings show that every point collected in Mettet could prove decisive when the titles are settled.

Now the countdown begins…

The championship battle is about to reach another level!

This weekend the Northern Sidecar Cup heads to the spectacular Circuit Jules Tacheny in Mettet (Belgium) for Round 6. With the season entering its decisive phase, every point matters and the pressure is higher than ever.

After an incredible first half of the season, the championship fights are still wide open across all three classes. In 1000cc, F600 and F2, the margins are incredibly small, meaning one great weekend—or one mistake—could completely change the title race. Every start, every overtake and every lap will count!

🏟️ A circuit with racing in its DNA

Mettet has been a motorsport hotspot for decades. The modern Circuit Jules Tacheny combines fast flowing corners, heavy braking zones and technical sections that reward bravery, precision and teamwork. It has become one of Belgium’s favourite motorcycle circuits and always delivers spectacular sidecar racing with plenty of overtaking opportunities.

The current standings prove just how close this season has become. In F600, only a handful of points separate the leading teams, while the 1000cc and F2 championships remain far from decided. Nobody can afford to back off now.

🏁 **CHIMAY DELIVERED! WHAT. A. WEEKEND.** 🇧🇪🔥

The legendary streets of **Chimay** once again produced an unforgettable weekend of **Northern Sidecar Cup** racing. Flat-out speeds, breathtaking overtakes, close championship battles and a fantastic crowd made Round 5 another one to remember!
Not everything went according to plan, though. Motorsport can be cruel, and we unfortunately saw heavy crashes involving **#199 Celtic Bull Racing Team** (F2) and **#388 GRT388** (1000cc). Thankfully, the most important thing is that everyone is recovering. We wish both teams a speedy recovery and hope to see them back on the grid soon! ❤️💪
