Oschersleben is calling! 🇩🇪🏁

Round 7 of the Northern Sidecar Cup is taking place on October 2, 3, and 4 at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben (Germany). It is the seventh and final round of the 2026 season—so time for the teams to tighten those tie-down straps one last time, pack up the (rain) tires, and hope everyone actually remembered to throw *everything* into the van.

And they are clearly excited about it…

We have reached the maximum entry limit of 32 teams for the practice sessions. A fantastic field—and naturally, we are thrilled about that!

There is, however, a small German *Aber* (catch): a maximum of 26 teams are allowed to start the races. That means some teams will be able to practice but ultimately won’t be able to compete in the races. It’s not ideal, but it is the reality with such a full grid. The final starting list is therefore crucial.

So, the battle in Oschersleben actually begins before the starting lights even go out…

🏆 The champions and the final title showdown

With the finale just around the corner, it is time to take another look at the standings following Round 6.

In the 1000cc class, Hilbert Talens & Felix Pinkert (Talens Sidecar Racing #22) are now mathematically uncatchable and can call themselves the 2026 champions. Congratulations! 🏆

The title is also in the bag for the F2 class. Team 556 Sidecar #156 (Yoann Gillard / Laura Ecorchard) sits at the top with 185 points and cannot be overtaken. Huge congratulations to them on the championship win! 🏆

But then… the F600.

For that class, the calculators can stay in the toolbox for now, because with two races left to go, the suspense is still very much alive. LRT International Sidecar Racing #56 – Raymond Leijdekkers / Calvin Leijdekkers head to Oschersleben as the leaders with 183 points. Close behind are West Side #35 – Mel Delamarre / Cédric Chevalier with 168 points—trailing by just 15 points.

Two teams, two races, and one F600 championship. It’s shaping up to be an exciting showdown. 😎

In short: count the points, keep a cool head, pin the throttle—and above all, ensure both rider and passenger cross the finish line together.

📅 And meanwhile… 2027

While we still have the 2026 season to wrap up, work is already well underway behind the scenes for 2027.

Next year’s calendar is already taking shape. A few final pieces of the puzzle still need to fall into place, but we hope to publish the 2027 Northern Sidecar Cup calendar soon.

First, however, we’re going full throttle one last time in 2026.

A packed practice field, a full starting grid, champions already decided, and an F600 title fight that is still wide open…
